Rococo

Rococo (French rococo – artsy, bizarre from rocaille – rocky from roc – rock, cliff). Rococo is an original art style developed in the art of France in the first half of the 18th century. The same as the style of Louis XV, since it coincides with the time of the reign of this king (1720-1765). Rococo is one of the most famous “royal styles.” The origin of its name and basic forms is closely related to the concept of “rocaille”.

In 1736, the French jeweler and woodcarver J. Mondon “Son” published an album of engraved drawings entitled “The first book of the forms of rockail and cartel”. Landscape poetry

My art history lessons are different. I give lectures to adults, and I try to talk more with children, play, cause “co-creation” in them. Especially exciting for both parties are classes on the landscape genre. The real sensual education begins in the next lesson, which I have called “Landscape Poetry.” Examining landscape paintings, we will now try to poetically comprehend the image. Children themselves note that poets dedicate a lot of verses to nature, recall Lermontov, Pushkin, Tyutchev. For me, this is a very suitable moment when I can bring my students to an understanding of the proximity of painting and poetry.

It is known that the arts do not delineate their boundaries and do not reject kinship. The art of image, the Continue reading

Useful habits for aspiring artists

We all know that acquiring habits is much easier than getting rid of them. This means that acquiring useful habits will not allow you to appear harmful, eliminating the need to abandon them, saving time and effort.

Spend some time securing a comfortable place. Choose a time when you are most pleased to do and when you are not worried. It’s hard to create a picture when you constantly look over your shoulder, every minute distract you on the most ridiculous questions or comment on every action. The result is a conflict, explosive situation. There is nothing good in the lack of lighting, noise and loud sounds. This means that the thoughtful organization of place and time should be the first good habit, so that no one and nothing could interfere with your studies. Continue reading
