Initially, it was available only to Chinese participants, but since 1999 it has become very fast gaining popularity. Today, this fabulous world of ice and snow sculptures is open to participants from other countries, it is an international prestigious competition and a great show.

Harbin is one of the coldest places on Earth. Residents of this city have found a wonderful way to decorate this harsh time of the year for themselves. The ice and snow festival lasts from January 5 to February 25. This year he is dedicated to the topic “Snow-Ice Integration: Happy to Walk Together”. The construction of this magical winter fairy tale this year took 220,000 cubic meters of ice and snow. The largest sculpture is the height of a 16-story building. In order to transport, cut and sculpt the ice attracted as many as 10,000 workers!
